For the first time in history the Awards Ceremony of Mercantile Athletic Federation was held at HNB Towers in Colombo 10 on 27th May 2016 with the participation of more than 120 personals including invitees, athletes, sponsors & MAF committee members where Olympic medalist Mrs. Susanthika Jayasinghe was the chief guest. At this occasion 45 best athletes who won 3 gold medals & 2 gold medals respectively at the 32nd Mercantile Annual Athletic Meet 2015, have been nominated for MAF awards in this year. In addition to that valuable sponsors, seniors & present committee members of MAF also have been recognized at the occasion to value their tremendous & immeasurable contribution towards the success of MAF in many years.
